The model is Hitomi Uehara, a Japanese jazz pianist who is active on the world stage.

It's not so much that she's playing the piano, but rather that her hands are dancing on the keys.

And their bodies dance, their truly joyful appearance makes people feel happy too.

They are enjoying the sound, just as the word "music" literally means.

And the power and technique to penetrate deep into the listener's heart.

She graduated at the top of her class from Berklee College of Music before making her debut.

The university professors must have been astonished by her individuality and talent.

Speaking of Berkeley, when I was near San Francisco,

I used to go to Berklee almost every week to listen to music.

Berkeley was the reason I started drawing.

So, what kind of flower would suit her best?

The strength to retain the pure innocence of a child forever, and the mystique created by sound.

I decided to draw a lotus flower.
