In the "Flowers in the Blue Sky" charcoal drawing series, I used white gesso as paint for the first time.
I felt it was necessary to separate the flowers from the background space because the composition was unrealistic, with the flowers being enormous compared to the Eiffel Tower.

That leads to the apples and irises in a vase placed on the table inside the room.
