It is a symbol of Kanazawa Station.

The "Tsuzumi Gate" was designed to resemble the drum used in Kaga Hosho Noh, a traditional performing art of Kaga.

I believe the charm of this "Tsuzumi Gate" lies in the fusion of the beauty of the straight lines of the spirally assembled pillars, built around two thick pillars, and the beauty of the gently curving roof.

That beauty is imbued with time.

From the distant Edo period,

Standing before the "Tsuzumi Gate," right up to this moment.

I painted this picture while thinking about those things.
