In traditional ink painting, you first draw with ink and then add color on top. However, I spread the colors that had spread within my body onto the paper using watercolors, and then drew with ink. In other words, I did the exact opposite of traditional ink painting.

So I named it K-Saizumi, but strictly speaking, I first drew a picture with only colors and no outlines, then I distorted it with ink and drew another picture. When these two pictures are put together, they create a mysterious space.

This is probably a method no one has ever used before.

In Hawaii, I painted the bird of paradise flower, which is known as Bird Paradise.

I painted flowers blooming in Hawaii, but the background doesn't specifically depict anything that evokes a sense of Hawaii.

But the atmosphere of Hawaii is definitely present in this painting.

To reveal the secret, I captured the essence of Hawaii in a painting using only watercolors.
