The Fujimura family residence (now the Tamura family residence) was designated as a resting place for Emperor Meiji during his tour.
This is a prominent house located along the old Hokkoku Kaido road in Nonoichi, and it is said that even during the Edo period, people associated with the Maeda family of the Kaga Domain would visit it as a resting place.
In the painting, the house appears to be gently expanding. It's a space filled with a sense of happiness, as if something good has happened and the homeowner is sharing a drink with their family. The framing by Kiyomi Kawasaki is also wonderful.
