A shrine located in Nonoichi City.
It is believed to have been built on the grounds of the residence that Togashi Iekuni established in Nonoichi.
It was founded in 1009, which is over a thousand years ago!
Within the temple grounds are the "Rain-Praying Stone (Benkei's Power Stone)," which is said to have been thrown by Benkei at the Togashi family's residence, and a ginkgo tree estimated to be about 500 years old.
As I pondered how to depict this shrine, which enshrines Emperor Ōjin and Amaterasu Ōmikami as its main deities, and closed my eyes for a while, an idea struck me.
I picked up my calligraphy brush, swiftly applied ink, and then white streaked across it.
The frame, with its rope-like texture, was unusual and perfectly suited to the painting.
