 After painting a tomato with Sennelier watercolors, I suddenly felt like painting an apple. I think the most important thing when painting is the desire to paint. That's the starting point, and as you paint, the painting itself becomes independent and goes its own way, which is also very interesting and fun.

 In the supermarket's fruit section, I pick up each apple one by one, searching for the one that catches my eye. From the outside, people might think I'm a bit strange. But I'm so engrossed in drawing that I don't notice. In the end, I only buy one apple, but I also diligently put ice cream, rice crackers, and ohagi (sweet rice cakes)—all things I need to accompany my drawing—into my shopping basket. I'm sure I appear normal at the checkout counter.

 As I was drawing this picture, it somehow reminded me of the apples that sit on top of the carriages that come to pick up Snow White and Cinderella.

 Snow White and Cinderella are sitting inside a hollowed-out apple, their hearts filled with both anxiety and anticipation about what will happen next. It's exactly like the process of painting.
