I tried painting roses with oil paints and Sennelier oil pastels.

Sennelier oil pastels are incredibly soft, like melted chocolate.

Picasso sought a material that would "never fade, never crack, and could be freely painted on any surface," leading to its joint development with Sennelier.

When I first used these oil pastels, I was truly amazed by their vibrant colors and their ability to cover the entire canvas with their smooth application. It felt almost like I was drawing with my fingertips, and I thought, "This is it!"

People say you should draw freely, but that's easier said than done.

But Sennelier oil pastels make that possible.

These roses seem so free, as if they are smiling.
