When people visit Hawaii, the first image that comes to mind is probably the deep blue ocean with palm trees swaying in the breeze, the rows of hotels, and the iconic Waikiki landscape with Diamond Head. Unlike the calm Kuhio Beach, Waikiki Beach has waves, so locals come there to surf. Kapiolani Park in Waikiki hosts various events and is, above all, a mecca for parades. I thought that a pop-art feel that transcends all these different images would suit Waikiki, so I drew this picture.
