The 130-year-old monkeypod tree, made famous in Japan by Hitachi's TV commercial "What Kind of Tree Is This?", is located in Moaluana Gardens, a 30-minute drive from Waikiki. This historic park was once owned by the Kamehameha royal family and still retains a cottage built as a summer residence for Kamehameha V, and it remains a popular spot for locals to relax.

I wanted to draw swirling lines with a pen and make the wind blow. How wonderful it would feel to lie in the shade of a tree and gaze at the breathtakingly blue sky through the gaps in the leaves swaying in the breeze. This is a picture of that.
