Manoa is a lush, green valley located in Honolulu, Oahu.

It is also known as the location of the University of Hawaii.

I depicted the green Starbucks near Manoa Marketplace with the sky stretching out behind it.

Manoa is where I started painting, and about a three-minute walk to the right from this painting was the "Manoa Gallery," which produced many famous Hawaiian painters.

My art was nurtured there.

Manoa is a place with a lot of rain, and when the weather cleared up, we saw a rainbow stretching from the mountains into the sky.

This painting was used for the cover of the exhibition pamphlet for Kiyoshi World 2026.

"The sky is connected."

I look up at the sky, thinking about something important, or someone important to me.

This is the theme of the exhibition.

The sky I looked up at in Manoa is connected to the sky I look up at here now.
